You hear that a lot but this is the real deal.
This may be the last Dodge Daytona Supercar to come from the original owner. It comes with the original title, sold by
King Dodge in St. Louis, MO.
It has the original 440, 4 bbl. Engine and super track pack Dana 60, 4:10 rear end.
The transmission is an automatic and was replaced in 1972. It is not numbers matching but all else is.
This car runs and drives.
This automobile needs a total restoration but think of what you will have when you are done, a rare example of the car that changed automotive and NASCAR racing history forever. This may also be one of the ultimate investment cars now and into the future. You decide

In 1969, Dodge took its sucessful Dodge Charger, and made the ultimate aerodynamic high speed race car. Required to sell 500 copies to the public in order to race it for NASCAR, Dodge released the Daytona in 1969. The world would never be the same again.

Production: 503
440: 433
Hemi: 70

Bobby Isaac drove a Daytona sponsored by K&K Insurance to a world record closed-course speed record of 201.104 mph. At the Daytona race that year, Dodge Daytonas swept the top four spots. At Bonneville, Isaac set an unlimited class speed record of 217 mph. And all of this performance was available at your friendly neighborhood Dodge dealer. This was truly the height of the performance mania. Sadly, 1969 would be the only year that the Dodge Daytona would be available, although Plymouth would try the same thing for 1970 with their Superbird.
